Competition Information:

Thank you for your interest in the 2016 Gateway Invitational! We welcome all Basic Skills skaters and hope to promote a FUN, introductory, competitive experience. In addition to Basic Skills, we welcome Well-Balanced competitors (thru Open Juvenile), Test Track Skaters thru Senior Level, Adult, Production, and Showcase events. 

The Gateway Invitational will be conducted in accordance with the rules and regulations of U.S. Figure Skating, as set forth in the current rulebook, as well as any pertinent updates which have been posted on the U.S. Figure Skating website.

This competition is open to all eligible, restricted, reinstated or readmitted persons as defined by the Eligibility Rules, and is a currently registered member of a U.S. Figure Skating member club, a collegiate club or an individual member in accordance with the current rulebook. Please refer to the current rulebook for non-U.S. Citizens.

Basic Skills events are open to all skaters who are current eligible members of either the Basic Skills program and/or are full members of U.S. Figure Skating. To be eligible, skaters must have submitted a membership application or be a member in good standing. Members of other organizations are eligible to compete but must be registered with the host Basic Skills program/club or any other Basic Skills program/club.

ENTRIES:

Online entries with secure credit card payment may be made at EntryEeze.com must be completed by 11:59PM, May 6, 2016. Entry fees for events do not include practice ice. Practice ice is purchased separately.

Late entries will be accepted only at the discretion of the competition committee and a late fee of $25.00 will be charged. A $25 service fee will be charged for checks returned for any reason. A $25.00 fee will be charged for any changes of events after May 6, 2016 (regardless of coach approvals).

First Standard 6.0 Event: $ 85.00
First Basic Skills Event: $ 45.00
Each additional Event $ 20.00
Production/Ensemble Events: $ 85.00 + $10 per skater

Showcase Duet Events:  

$ 20 per skater

A U.S. Figure Skating membership number is needed to create an EntryEeze account. If you are currently waiting for a membership number, you can still create an EntryEeze account by entering “0000” into the box “USFSA# (or Basic Skills #)”. After you receive your official U.S. Figure Skating membership number, please forward it to the competition chair.

JUDGING SYSTEM: The 6.0 Majority Judging System will be used for all events.

COMPETITION T-SHIRTS: Event t-shirts will only be available for purchase through EntryEeze. T-shirts will be available for pickup at the registration desk. The deadline for t-shirt orders is May 15.

U.S. FIGURE SKATING TEST SESSION: A test session will be held on Friday, June 10. Click here for details and registration information.

The mission of St. Louis Skating Club is to promote, encourage and improve all areas of amateur skating, in all disciplines. St. Louis Skating Club encourages a fraternal feeling among ice skaters and strives to raise the standard and level of figure skating by encouraging testing and competitive skating and by providing skaters access to qualified club-approved coaches.
